>>Regional Director—Multifamily Office (San Francisco)

Location: San Francisco, CA

Our client is a prominent, national financial institution. They are looking for a Regional Director for their Family Office group, based in San Francisco, CA. The individual will lead a team which focuses on servicing the institution’s wealthiest clients ($50MM+). It is imperative that the individual have at least ten years experience servicing Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) families ($50MM+) in an advisory role with an area of subject expertise that is relevant to the UHNW family client market (estate or multigenerational planning, tax, accounting, investment management, etc).

The Regional Director will manage a team of 20-25 people, which consists of estate planning attorneys, tax attorneys, CPA’s, investment managers, trust and fiduciary specialists, wealth advisors, operations staff, and administrators. It is a requirement that the candidate has 7+ years of experience managing a group; the ideal candidate will have prior experience managing a group of similar roles in a Family Office or Multifamily Office with full P&L responsibility.

The Regional Director will be expected to grow annual revenue and have a track record of growing business in UHNW market. He/She will work with other groups of the institution in the region, consultants, etc, and be thought leader and speaker for the group within the region. It is expected that the successful candidate will be someone who is established and recognized in UHNW family client advisory.

Our client is prominent, national financial institution that specializes in providing top-level wealth management services. They are looking for a Regional Director for their Family Office group, based in Chicago, IL. This group is responsible for a range of wealth management solutions for the institution’s ultra-affluent client base.

The Regional Director will lead a team which provides integrated solutions to the institution’s most affluent clients ($50MM+) in reaching their financial goals. It is imperative that the individual have a minimum of 10 years experience in servicing Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) families ($50MM+) in an advisory role with an area of subject expertise that is relevant to the UHNW family client market (estate or multigenerational planning, tax, accounting, trust, investment management, etc).

The Regional Director will manage a team of 45-50 specialists that consists of estate planning attorneys, tax attorneys, CPA’s, investment managers, trust and fiduciary specialists, wealth advisors, operations staff, and administrators. It is a requirement that the candidate has experience managing a diverse group of experts in a comparable structure/environment. In addition, the ideal candidate will have prior experience managing a group of like roles in a Family Office or Multifamily Office. As “the face of the franchise” for the Great Lakes region, the candidate must also be an excellent communicator with client relationship and business development skills.

The Regional Director will have full P&L responsibility for the Midwest Regional Office that consists of two offices. He or she will have a track record of growing business in UHNW market and he or she will be expected to grow annual revenue. The Regional Director will work with other groups of the institution in the region, consultants, etc., and become an influential leader and speaker for the group in the region. It is expected that the successful candidate will be someone who is currently recognized in UHNW family client advisory as an industry expert.

>>Investment Manager/Wealth Advisor

Our client is a nationally known Multifamily Office, servicing Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients with investible assets above $25MM. They are looking for a Wealth Advisor with specific expertise in investment management. The person will be based in the San Francisco, CA, area. Their preference is to find a candidate in the Bay Area, but will relocate the best available candidate from another location.

The MFO is a well recognized and established national firm. They offer a broad range of services for UHNW clients, including open architecture investment/asset management, estate and tax, multigenerational and transitional planning, etc. They have over $15B AUM and have demonstrated progressive annual growth in assets under management and number of family clients.

The Wealth Advisor will have a leadership role in the region and will report directly to the President of the MFO. The firm is widely known for their open architecture, technology and sophistication in asset management. It is necessary that the Wealth Advisor possesses deep experience as an investment manager with UHNW investors across all asset categories. The candidate must have had decision-making authority with asset allocation/management in a HNW/UHNW client environment. They should be recognized in investment management with a demonstrated track record of thought leadership and distinguished performance.

The role will include frequent participation in client meetings as well as collaboration and integration with advisors within the firm as well as industry partners. The Wealth Advisor will be the regional subject expert on investment management. Prior experience and exposure with the media is preferred. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the qualified individual.
