>>Client Manager

Location:  Greater Seattle, WA

We have been retained by an established, highly regarded multifamily office to find a Client Manager. The position will be based at the firm’s headquarters in the greater Seattle area. Our client firm serves HNW families and individuals offering a range of services including: a non-proprietary open architecture investment platform, wealth planning and transfer, tax management, risk management and strategic planning. The firm offers a dedicated investment team with a proven record of solid investment results; and they take great pride in establishing long-term relationships with their clients through a highly collaborative team effort. The Client Manager (CM) is responsible for the oversight of clients and has front-line responsibility for the quality and delivery of the firm’s services to their client base. Client development, service, and retention are the focus of this position; therefore, prior experience with HNW client relationship building and business development is required. Proven expertise in working with business owners, foundation and endowments, and 401k plans with professional practices is a plus. As new client development is a key responsibility for this position, strong and effective use of local connections are important attributes for candidates. The CM will generate new clients/assets through referrals as well as new business development activities.
 
The CM must be able to identify the client’s unique goals and objectives, develop, recommend, implement, and manage strategic wealth management solutions to meet these goals and objectives. The CM will provide oversight and coordination of the internal team members serving clients, including associates and investment research staff. The CM will coordinate and manage investment decisions as well as work in coordination with outside advisors, including CPAs and attorneys, as part of the strategic financial plan. Primary functions of the CM will include among others:
  • Overseeing of cash flow, income and transfer tax planning, accounting, asset purchase/sales, real estate holdings, long-range strategic forecasting, estate planning, philanthropy, investment and risk management activities for assigned individuals, families and related entities including periodic reporting.
  • Facilitating the development, implementation and maintenance of financial policies and procedures for clients to ensure client-appropriate levels of checks and balances are maintained.
  • Reviewing of financial reports for assigned individuals, families and related entities focusing on cash planning, strategic planning and investment performance reporting. 
Finally, candidates must exhibit a commitment to lifelong learning and have the ability to encourage others to do so through leadership and mentoring. He or she must continue to grow technically and personally to perform his or her job at the highest levels. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of being a team player as well as being a supportive colleague with strong interpersonal skills.

 
Requirements:
  • 8-10+ years of experience in personal financial planning, investment counseling, tax, risk management, or financial accounting
  • Bachelor degree in finance or other business-specific subject; advanced degree and/or a professional designation in approved wealth management-related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of wealth management and financial issues, including philanthropy, succession planning or family governance
  •  Broad wealth management technical skills and deep experience in one of the wealth management disciplines
  • Knowledge of personal financial statement accounting practices; ability to analyze and report on qualitative and quantitative data
  • Experience in a customer service oriented environment; strong client and business relationship development skills
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
