- 10-15+ years of prior experience in private, or commercial banking
- BA/BS Degree (minimum), MBA or Master’s preferred
- Credit/underwriting experience, secured and unsecured loans
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills, collaborative, excellent client relations skills
- Broad knowledge of all facets of wealth management, experience with UHNW
- Solid business development skills, proactive in client engagement

We have been retained to find a Managing Director of Private Banking based in San Francisco, CA.
The Managing Director of Private Banking (MDPB) will be part of a multi-disciplinary team exclusively serving family office clients with $350MM+ average in investible assets. The MDPB will be the senior banker on the team and responsible for all areas related to banking for their family office clients including lending, cash management, banking products, and banking services. This is a sophisticated, client-focused role and the MDPB will be the regional expert and authority for banking services for this family office consulting group.
The MDPB must have excellent client relationship skills and be a contributor in bringing new clients through business development efforts. The MDPB should be an excellent communicator with a robust professional network and reputation. Additionally, he or she must have a demonstrated track record working with HNW/UHNW clients. The MDPB must have a strong credit acumen, comprehensive knowledge of structuring deals, and ability to approve the underwriting content. He or she should have experience with a wide range of lending solutions including: secured and unsecured loans, lines of credit, and lending of $10MM+ (investments, aircraft, fine art, etc.). Working knowledge of commercial real estate lending would be preferred, as well.
